Rules of Investigation
1. Share no conclusions/opinions with owner/witnesses until all the evidence is in, reviewed and ready for final presentation, it is the Administrators job to discuss evidence with the client.
2. Maintain a positive attitude during an investigation, Negativity causes poor results.
3. DO NOT question owners/clients as to what is going on when arriving at an investigation site. This is the Case Managers, Administrator, Co-Administrators responsibility and may taint any impressions recieved, which will be subject for removal as evidence. The client has been asked a series of questions during the initial interview.
4. Discuss what you know about the case as little as possible with sensitives or around them so as not to taint impressions received.
5. Professionalism is the utmost importance for the integrity of the team. While we do want to have fun,we do not want to give the impression that we are coming for a party. A client who is happy with the team's work may tell a few people, but a client that is unhappy with the team's work will tell everybody. Not only is Spirit Wind Paranormal's reputation at stake so is each team members reputation at stake. Always remember the client's are scared, unnerved at the events happening around them, it is our job to make this as easy and comfortable as possible for them.
6. Always do your best to be on time, while everyone has hinderences from time to time, being on time shows professionalism.
7. Never investigate alone, always go in groups of two or more.
8. All sites will be treated with respect, leave them just as you found them. No littering and any destruction of property, clients or company will be cause for removal from the organization, team and liable for damage.
9. Talking during EVP sessions is only when necessary. If you find you need to talk during the session do it in a normal voice, not a whisper as it makes it hard to differentiate from real paranormal occurrences.
10. No perfumes, colognes or aftershave should be worn during an investigation as spirits sometimes make themselves known by certain smells.
11. No smoking during the investigation, a designated smoking area will be setup away from the investigation area.
12. No drugs, alcohol will be allowed during the investigation, any team member showing up under the influence or smelling of at an investigation will be terminated. We maintain a professional attitude and appearance. This includes all investigations outdoor and residential.
13. Vulgar language is not necessary when investigating, Keep it clean!!!
14. Absolutely NO HORSEPLAY. Anyone caught will be removed from the organization. Safety for the client and team members is our number one priority. First offence is suspension from investigations for a month. Next offence is removal from the organization.
15. Never speak ill of the dead remember they were once people too. Provoking to an extent is permitted to get a response but in a respectful way. Always be prepared as provoking could get you what you wish but that isn't always in a nice way in those situations.
16. If you become frightened during an investigation, DO NOT RUN AWAY screaming from the site, walk calmly away to a place where you feel you can calm down and collect your thoughts. Running creates an unsafe environment for you, the client and your team members. It also damages the integrity of the company and shows unprofessionalism. Safety is the number one concern at S.W.P.R.
17. Always have proper identification with you. If you are in a public or private site and law officers stop you they more than likely will ask for your ID.
